I have to say, they do have the right to raise their kids any way they want. They also have the right to decide whether or not they want to have their own children or adopt. </></>I can't put my finger on the exact reason why they freak me out, but they do. </></>Actually I do know the reasons, but I'm not sure I can back that up with a clear and concise explanation so we will just leave it at that.

Let me try and make myself more clear.</></>I think what is upsetting to me is a few simple facts. 1) They say that they will keep having kids because that is Gods will. They want to do everything in Gods light. Well... Simply put... Gods Work(Jesus) was that of giving and charity--not self indulgence and selfishness. It isn't ANYONES responsibility to adopt unwanted children--but when someone wants to claim that they are doing things in the name of God, they are going to be placed under a tad higher scruitiny. </></>Righteousness makes the fall all that much harder.</></>Giving is almost the entire base of Christianity--yet their primary concern is "taking what God gives them" as in keep having children. </></>Quiver Ready(what they are) couples almost always tend to have white supremesist views. They also tend to belong to churches that are Incorporated and not listed as Non-Profit(as the Duggars are).</></>It isn't all happy go lucky. They use this show to push views such as creationism(their children are not tought evolution as any form of science), debt free living(through im Sammons' Financial Freedom seminars--consider him the fanatical religious version of Ramsey). </></>Arranged marriages represent everything we hate in Middle Easter Society. Arranged marriages do nothing to help happiness, nor do they do anything to show what Love is. They are also a part of the Old testament that has been fullfilled--ie, they aren't part of current Christianity. </></>Claiming Religious superiority in itself is blasphemous.

EE--There is no doubt that you have made yourself into a great person. That being said--I'm not going to argue with you.</></>"Individualism is what makes someone a person--without it you're just another body filling a church pew. Questioning God and your religion is essential to understanding it. They do not allow any of that." They have the right to raise their kids the way they want (as long as no physical harm is done), that includes the way they view religion. Who are we to judge? </></>I will comment here though. If they didn't want to make a statement(and an unpopular one at that) they wouldn't put themselves on TV for 6 seasons. </></>By putting themselves on TV they are doing a really good job of making the "good" that they are doing the side topic. They spend 1/4 of each episode talking about RULES. </></>If you would go through and watch the episodes from the beginning(14 and counting) then you would see that they(the parents) aren't doing anything for those children other than setting the rules for the them. The children raise the children.

"You're right, there are TONS of kids out there who would kill to have a family like that. Yet they continue to keep having more and more instead of even considering those children." It isn't their responsibility- or anyone's responsibility- to care for America's unwanted children. I raised myself and I'm doing fine.</></>"Their philosophy with their kids reeks of arranged marriages." There isn't anything wrong with that.</></>"They don't let their kids ever actually be kids. They instead start them on the process of raising their siblings at an early age." I did this. And I turned out fine. If I would have had loving parents (like them) and a nice home (like them), I would have been happy.</></>"Anyone could have 20 kids if their children did all of the work." Not anyone could have kids as nice, well mannered and succesful as theirs.</></>"Seriously... a Real Estate agent and a Used Car Lot are what they have for symbolism." Items are overrated.</></>"Not being able to even kiss your partner prior to marriage is insane." I disagree.</></>"I've read the bible. The ENTIRE bible. Where in the bible does it say that is what God intended." Who knows, I haven't read it.</></>"They give their children no hope of thinking independently." That's arguable. </></>"Individualism is what makes someone a person--without it you're just another body filling a church pew.
"The Dugger's claim to restrict TV and Internet use with their children. They think that modern TV is dangerous for young people to watch."</></>Yet they are ON TV. They make me sick! Why don't they adopt?? Think of all the kids in foster care they could have helped!</></>AARRGGHHH!
