About

medicTHREE is the brainchild of a night of working combined with a night of playing too hard. During my internship in medic school I needed a way to chronicle my story, so to speak… medicTHREE.com was it. It started as “Cheating Death” at dailydoa.blogspot.com and progressed to plain old medicTHREE at medicthree.com. Now you find me here at www.medicthree.com, but part of the Fireemsblogs.com community. I’m honored to be a part of this blog community–amongst greats like Fire Critic and Ambulance Driver.

I, medicTHREE, am a 26 year old husband, father, and paramedic in the upper Midwest. I work for a Borg-Like National Ambulance service in a city of about 170,000 people. We cover an area of about 1000 square miles with around 255,000 people in our entire coverage area. We provide mutual aid to another 5,000 or so square miles.

I live in my hometown(outside of my coverage area…) with my wife of 2 years and son Asher who was born February 5, 2009. We have 3 dogs and a fish tank.

I’ve been a medic for about 1.5 years, in services from 250 calls a year to now at around 10,000 calls per year. Just enjoying the ride for now.
